San Antonio, Texas – A tragic incident unfolded in San Antonio, Texas when two gunmen fired into a house, targeting its occupants. Local authorities reported that five people were shot, including three young children. Tragically, a four-year-old girl did not survive her injuries.
The violent attack took place on a Wednesday evening at 7:49 p.m. in the Northeast Side of San Antonio. Two suspects wielding semi-automatic rifles arrived at a residence on Windsor Hollow Drive and opened fire on the house.
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar revealed that upon arrival, deputies found five victims with gunshot wounds, with three of them being children under the age of 10. The youngest victim, the four-year-old girl, tragically passed away from her injuries. The other four victims, including two adults in their 20s and 30s, were in critical condition.
No arrests were made immediately following the incident, but Sheriff Salazar mentioned that authorities were actively pursuing leads. One lead involved a suspect who may have exchanged text messages with one of the victims prior to the shooting.
During a press conference, Sheriff Salazar expressed his concern over the suspects’ actions, stating that they used high-capacity weapons and fired approximately 20 to 25 rounds within seconds. He emphasized the severity of the situation by highlighting how the front of the house was riddled with bullets, remarking on the miracle that more lives were not lost during the attack.
