Indianapolis, Indiana – One person tragically lost their life, and five others sustained injuries in a shooting incident at a nightclub in Indianapolis early Saturday morning. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reported that the shooting took place around 1:20 a.m. EDT at Landsharks on Broad Ripple Avenue.
Authorities shared that upon arrival at the scene, officers found five men suffering from gunshot wounds, with one man succumbing to his injuries on-site. An additional victim managed to transport themselves to a nearby hospital for medical attention. All surviving victims are currently in stable condition.
Following the incident, a 25-year-old man named Nicholas Fulk was apprehended and faces a preliminary charge of murder in connection with the shooting. The swift arrest came after detectives utilized security cameras and license plate readers to identify Fulk as a suspect.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, as investigations continue. No arrests have been made, and law enforcement has not identified any additional suspects at this time. The Marion County Coroner’s Office is collaborating in determining the cause of death and will release the victim’s identity following notification of next-of-kin.
