Los Angeles, California – Authorities are actively seeking suspects involved in separate violent incidents that unfolded within the Metro system in Los Angeles County. The first unsettling event occurred when a teenager was stabbed during a robbery onboard a Metro bus in Glendale, near West Los Feliz Road and South Central Avenue, around 7 p.m. on Monday.
According to the Glendale Police Department, three juvenile suspects robbed the victim and subsequently attacked him, stealing his backpack in the process. Quick action from a nearby police officer led to the apprehension of two of the suspects, but the third culprit managed to flee the scene before being caught.
In a distinct incident two hours later in South Los Angeles, a violent altercation inside an elevator at the Metro Green Line station resulted in a woman sustaining injuries. The assault, which involved a man stabbing the female victim at the Metro station along Vermont Avenue and the 105 Freeway around 9 p.m., prompted the perpetrator to flee the scene. Police later noted that the suspect was last seen on a train heading towards the Hawthorne area.
Authorities have clarified that the two reported stabbing incidents are entirely unrelated, highlighting the concerning nature of back-to-back violent events within the Metro system.
