Herndon, Virginia – The suspect in the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old in Herndon, Virginia, has surrendered to authorities, as announced by Fairfax County police on Friday. Identified as 18-year-old Ismael Cruz-Delcid, the suspect turned himself in following discussions with his legal representative.

The tragic incident took place in a hotel parking lot on Coppermine Road, where Cruz-Delcid allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with two other teenagers, ultimately leading to gunfire. In the chaos, the victim, whose identity has not been disclosed but revealed to be only 14 years old, succumbed to his injuries after being struck by gunfire.
