Suspect Wanted for Lemon Grove Murder: Help Detectives Find Daniel Ethridge

Lemon Grove, California – Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect linked to the fatal shooting of a 39-year-old man in Lemon Grove last year. The suspect, identified as Daniel Ethridge, 34, is wanted in connection with the death of Gregory Moore. Moore was shot in the torso and legs on Lemon Grove Avenue near Montana Street in March 2023, according to sheriff’s Lt. Michael Krugh.

Following the shooting, Moore managed to drive his car a short distance to San Miguel Avenue, where he was later discovered unconscious in the driver’s seat. Despite being rushed to a hospital, Moore succumbed to his injuries. Through their investigation, deputies uncovered that Moore was acquainted with his assailants, and the shooting escalated from a prior dispute among them.

Ethridge is among four individuals facing charges in connection with Moore’s death. He is the subject of a murder arrest warrant and is believed to have ties to a local street gang. Additionally, Ethridge has previous convictions for assault with a deadly weapon and shooting into an inhabited dwelling. Descriptions provided by detectives indicate that Ethridge is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 165 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes.

Law enforcement officials have emphasized that Ethridge should be considered armed and dangerous. To aid in his apprehension, the U.S. Marshals Service has offered a $5,000 reward, with Crime Stoppers providing an additional $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
