Teen Killer in Clayton County Mass Shooting Targeted by $25,000 Reward from Victim’s Family

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. – The family of nineteen-year-old Kiyre Allen has taken steps to increase the reward for information leading to the apprehension of his killer, now standing at $25,000. Allen was tragically one of five individuals shot at an apartment complex on Riverdale Road in August 2022.

Following his recent graduation from Creekside High School, Allen’s mother, Catrice, spoke of the pain that still feels fresh since his untimely passing. Despite the absence of concrete details surrounding the incident, it is believed to have stemmed from an allegation involving a stolen dirt bike, implicating Allen and his friends.

In the absence of any leads regarding the identity of her son’s perpetrator, Catrice Allen is hopeful that the increased reward will motivate someone to come forward with crucial information. Clayton County authorities have refrained from identifying any suspects thus far.

In a display of grace and strength, Allen’s mother has expressed forgiveness towards the individual responsible for her son’s death, emphasizing her trust in his well-being in the afterlife. While appreciative of investigative efforts, Catrice Allen is also actively engaged in community initiatives, organizing events such as “Shoot Hoops, Not Guns” to promote positive engagement among youth.

This weekend, an event is scheduled in honor of Kiyre Allen, aimed at fostering a sense of unity and empowerment within the community. Attendees are encouraged to share any information with Clayton police or Crime Stoppers anonymously, reaching out to 404-577-TIPS. Through grief and loss, the Allen family remains steadfast in their pursuit of justice and remembrance of their beloved son.
