Reward: $25,000 offered to find Clayton County teen’s mass shooter

Clayton County, Georgia – The family of nineteen-year-old Kiyre Allen has raised the reward to $25,000 in hopes of finding his killer. Allen was one of five individuals shot at an apartment complex off Riverdale Road in August 2022.

The tragic incident occurred outside the Parks at Leeds in Clayton County, where Allen had recently graduated from Creekside High School just a few months prior. His mother, Catrice, expressed the pain of the loss and her patience in seeking justice for her son.

While the events leading up to the shooting have not been disclosed by the authorities, it is understood that the altercation began with an accusation regarding a stolen dirt bike involving Allen and his friends. In addition to trusting in the investigative efforts, Allen is taking proactive steps to honor her son’s memory. She has organized a community event called “Shoot Hoops, Not Guns” aiming to engage youth and promote a message of peace and unity. The event is scheduled to take place at Jamestown Park on Sunday at 4 p.m.

The family urges anyone with information regarding the tragic incident to reach out to Clayton police or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 404-577-TIPS.
