Vehicle Theft Spree Ends in Arrest: Tacoma Woman Attacks Two Men, Steals Cars

Tacoma, Washington – A woman was arrested in Tacoma late Friday night after allegedly attacking two men and stealing their vehicles. Both victims were left hospitalized with serious injuries as a result of the incidents that unfolded in different locations.

The first incident took place in the 1100 block of South Highland Avenue around 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Reports from the police indicated that the suspect, who was known to the victim, carried out a violent attack using an axe. Following the assault, she fled the scene, taking the man’s vehicle with her. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital to receive treatment for his severe injuries.

Later that day, the woman abandoned the stolen vehicle and called for an Uber. The unsuspecting Uber driver picked her up and drove her to the 3400 block of Ruston Way, near Les Davis Pier. However, the ride took a horrifying turn when the woman allegedly stabbed the driver in the neck around 5 p.m., leaving him seriously wounded. She then took control of the Uber driver’s vehicle and made her escape.

Tacoma police quickly responded to the second incident, locating the stolen Uber vehicle in the 7400 block of East F Street. Not far from the vehicle, officers found the woman attempting to hide and promptly took her into custody. The suspect now faces charges of assault and robbery as authorities continue to investigate the motive behind the violent acts.

Residents in the affected areas are being urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement. The victims are currently receiving medical care, with their families undoubtedly shaken by the traumatic events.
