Warangal, India — A late-night family dispute in Warangal escalated dramatically when a man assaulted his father-in-law with a knife, leading to serious injuries for both parties. The incident occurred around midnight, reportedly fueled by alcohol and ongoing marital tensions.
The altercation involved Aaketi Anil Reddy, a resident of Hanamkonda, and his father-in-law, Gunnala Prabhakar. Tensions had been building in Reddy’s marriage, which led his wife to temporarily leave for her maternal home in Ramannapet. On the night of the incident, Reddy visited his in-laws, where a heated argument quickly turned violent.
Witnesses reported that Reddy, inebriated, confronted Prabhakar, resulting in a physical struggle. During this clash, Reddy stabbed Prabhakar, causing a severe abdominal injury. In an attempt to defend himself, Prabhakar retaliated and inflicted injuries on Reddy before the authorities arrived.
