Violent Attack Caught on Security Cameras at Uptown Albuquerque Business Highlight Lack of Police Response

Albuquerque, N.M. – Security footage from a business in uptown Albuquerque captured a disturbing incident on August 1st. The video shows two individuals engaging in sexual activity, which then escalates into violence. The man in the footage is seen punching and kicking the woman, pushing her face to the ground, and then getting dressed after the attack. The woman can also be seen fighting back and kicking the man before they are scared off by a tenant from inside the building.

The president of Peterson Properties, Douglas Peterson, expressed his shock and concern about the incident, stating that their first response was to find a way to remedy the situation. However, when they contacted the Albuquerque Police Department (APD) to file a report, they were met with pushback regarding the existence of a victim.

According to Peterson, APD kept insisting that there was no victim, causing frustration for the property manager. In response, APD stated that they were contacted by the property manager on August 7th, after which they initiated an investigation and are working to identify the individuals involved in the incident.

The video evidence has been handed over to APD’s Sex Crimes Unit to aid in their investigation. If anyone has information about the individuals in the video, they are urged to contact APD.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of businesses in the area, as well as the response of law enforcement to such incidents. The community is hopeful that the investigation will lead to the identification and apprehension of those involved, and serve as a deterrent for similar criminal activities in the future.
