Violent Broad Ripple Attack Linked to Vandalism Suspect Arrested in Indianapolis Robbery and Spray Painting Spree

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – A woman’s alleged crime spree has expanded with fresh charges of a violent assault in a parking garage, adding to an already shocking sequence of events. Denise Honorio, a 34-year-old Indianapolis woman, was arrested not only for robbery, battery, and vandalism, but also for a violent attack outside a Broad Ripple grocery store.

The accusations stem from separate incidents that occurred downtown, culminating in the robbery and assault of a hospital worker and extensive vandalism causing over $50,000 in damages. The full extent of Honorio’s alleged criminal activities started to unfold when Indianapolis Metro police found her responsible for an assault of a shopper in a Fresh Thyme parking lot.

Honorio’s troubles began with an incident involving mass vandalism inside a parking garage, where over 50 cars were sprayed with white paint. Video footage from the scene showed a woman, believed to be Honorio, meticulously spraying a line alongside the doors of parked cars.

Just days later, a police officer recognized Honorio wearing the same clothes she was seen wearing during the spraying incident. Upon searching her, police also found an Indiana driver’s license belonging to someone else, which led to uncovering a violent robbery of a hospital worker on the same day as the vandalism.

Furthermore, Honorio was involved in a reported assault at a parking garage of a Fresh Thyme grocery store in Broad Ripple. The victim suffered significant injuries, including a broken hip and elbow, after being assaulted by a woman matching Honorio’s description.

Investigators then connected the dots by searching Honorio’s apartment, where the discovery of clothing matching the suspect in surveillance footage strengthened the case against her. As a result, new charges were filed against Honorio for aggravated battery in the Broad Ripple assault.

The new charges have raised the stakes for Honorio, who now faces the prospect of a lengthy sentence if convicted. The expanding list of allegations against her has sparked concerns in the community, intensifying the legal battle that lies ahead.
