VIOLENT: Man Slashed and Beaten with Machete and Hammer in Broad Daylight

Melbourne, Victoria – A brutal daylight attack left 21-year-old Chol Yai slashed and beaten with a machete, knives, a hammer, and a baseball bat by a group of about four men. The attack took place around 5pm on Sunday, as the victim was chased across Elpis Rd in Weir Views before being assaulted in a garden outside a McDonald’s outlet.

CCTV footage from a nearby home captured the disturbing scene, with terrified neighbors reacting in horror as they witnessed the violent attack. The residents rushed to the injured man to provide first aid.

Yai suffered severe injuries to his head, back, and arm, with his right arm cut down to the bone. He was rushed to the Royal Melbourne Hospital where he underwent surgery. Currently, he remains in serious condition.

His mother, Teresa Garang, told reporters that her son was out shopping for food when the unprovoked attack occurred, and neither of them knows the attackers.

The police are investigating the incident, but the victim has chosen not to cooperate with them. However, they are still searching for the offenders who were seen traveling in a black sedan, suggesting a coordinated effort in the violent assault.

This horrific incident has shocked the community, prompting authorities to urge anyone with information to come forward and help bring those responsible to justice. Meanwhile, Yai’s family is left grappling with the trauma and stress as they seek answers and justice for their loved one.
