Arrests Made After Northwest ISD Students Plan Violent Attack on Middle School

Haslet, Texas – Two students from Northwest ISD are facing serious charges after school officials uncovered a disturbing plan involving an attack on a middle school in Haslet, Texas. The plan, detailed in a document naming 32 students and staff members as potential targets, has raised concerns and led to immediate action by authorities.

According to Northwest ISD, a parent at Truett Wilson Middle School alerted administrators about the troubling document, prompting a thorough investigation. The document not only outlined an attack on the school but also included a “watch list” of 25 students and seven staff members at Wilson Middle School.

The district has taken steps to ensure the safety of everyone involved, with additional security personnel and counselors present at the school in response to the threat. While details of the document have not been fully disclosed, officials noted that the language used in the document closely mirrors previous terroristic threats seen in schools across the country.

Working in collaboration with the Fort Worth Police Department, Northwest ISD has taken decisive action against the individuals responsible for creating and editing the document. Two students involved in the incident have been arrested, although their identities have not been released, and both are assumed to be juveniles.

In accordance with district policy, any other students implicated in the document will face disciplinary measures. The district emphasized that due to student privacy laws, specific disciplinary actions will not be disclosed publicly. However, the district typically enforces three days of out-of-school suspension for serious misconduct like making terroristic threats.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with authorities looking into whether other students had access to the threatening document. Northwest ISD expressed gratitude to the parent who brought the matter to their attention and reiterated their commitment to working closely with law enforcement to ensure the safety of the school community.
