Assailants Identified: Edmonton Police Track Down Three of Six Suspects in Violent LRT Station Robbery

Edmonton, Alberta – Edmonton police have made progress in identifying suspects involved in a violent assault and robbery of a 64-year-old man at the Churchill LRT station last month. The victim was waiting for a train on the ground-level platform when he was attacked by a group of assailants. The incident took place at around 5:30 a.m., with one man initiating the attack before five others joined in, leaving the victim with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

An emergency medical services crew treated the victim and took him to the hospital for further care. Surveillance shots of the group were released by investigators, leading to the arrest of two suspects while a third remains at large. Efforts are still ongoing to identify the remaining three suspects, one of whom was armed with pepper spray, one was riding a bicycle, and one was a female.

Const. Anton Golosov expressed gratitude for the public’s assistance in the case, urging anyone who recognizes the suspects to come forward with information. Markus Lee Gladue, 21, is currently wanted on warrants for aggravated assault, possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public, and robbery. Brady Rodney Desroches-Smith, 28, has been charged with aggravated assault and robbery, with additional warrants for first-degree murder by Grande Prairie RCMP at the time of his arrest. Travis Damian Houle, 35, faces charges of aggravated assault, robbery, and failure to comply with a probation order.
