Norcross, Georgia, was the scene of a terrifying road rage incident that left a driver lucky to be alive after being targeted by a shooter while on his morning commute. The incident unfolded on April 11th when the victim found himself in a harrowing situation involving a white pickup truck near Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Holcomb Bridge Road.
According to the victim, who was on his way to work, the altercation began when the white pickup truck cut him off, leading to a confrontation between the two drivers. As the victim attempted to drive up next to the truck for a closer look, gunfire erupted, causing chaos and fear.
The victim narrowly escaped severe injury as six bullets struck his car, grazing his leg in the process. A responding officer, captured on body camera footage, expressed disbelief at the level of violence directed towards the victim, describing the shooting as an attempt on his life.
Witnesses in the area did their best to avoid the dangerous situation, with one individual recalling the speed and intensity of the gunfire as the assailant targeted the victim’s vehicle. Thanks to the victim’s quick thinking, law enforcement was able to track down the suspect vehicle and ultimately apprehend the shooter, identified as 26-year-old Lisandro Pacheco.
Pacheco now faces serious charges including aggravated assault, with the Norcross Police Department commending the victim for his cooperation and bravery in aiding the investigation. Authorities acted swiftly to bring Pacheco into custody, ensuring that he remains behind bars without bond as the legal process unfolds.
