Baton Rouge, Louisiana – The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting incident that resulted in the death of a homeless man. Reginald Riggs, 51, succumbed to his injuries according to EBRSO authorities.
Casey Rayborn Hicks, the public information officer for EBRSO, stated that deputies were alerted to a report of gunfire around 5:15 a.m. on Saturday. Upon their arrival at the scene, it was revealed that Riggs had already departed. Emergency Medical Services later confirmed that Riggs, who was in critical condition, was transported from the 8700 block of GSRI Avenue to a nearby hospital via ambulance.
