Assault Allegations: TikTok Star Mark Estes Accused of Beating Students in Campus Brawl

Bozeman, Montana – Mark Estes, a member of the TikTok group the Montana Boyz, faced accusations of felony federal assault back in February 2021 after an alleged altercation with a group of students, according to information obtained exclusively by Page Six. The incident, which took place when Estes was 24 years old, reportedly resulted in one of the victims being hospitalized, although Estes was never formally charged.

Reports confirm that Estes, who was a student at Montana State University at the time, and his friends were involved in a physical confrontation with another group of students during an off-campus altercation. Law enforcement officers were not able to make immediate arrests as everyone involved had already dispersed by the time they arrived at the scene.

Despite the officer’s recommendation for Estes to be charged with felony assault and misdemeanor assault, the Gallatin County Attorney’s Office decided not to press charges, deeming the incident as “mutual combat.” The officer involved in the case believed there was enough probable cause to charge Estes with aggravated assault, citing injuries sustained by one victim as evidence.

The officer also mentioned that Estes’ friends, Kaleb Campbell Winterburn and Kade Wilcox, were not named in the assault case files. However, video evidence obtained by Page Six showed Winterburn making racist remarks in a TikTok video, raising additional concerns.

Estes, who gained fame on social media platforms for his content with the Montana Boyz, transferred from Montana State University to Montana Tech shortly after the incident. He also made headlines for his romantic relationship with reality star Kristin Cavallari, with the couple facing scrutiny over their 12-year age gap.

While Cavallari has not publicly commented on Estes’ previous encounter with the law, questions remain about the incident and its implications. The influence of social media personalities like Estes and the Montana Boyz on today’s youth culture brings a fresh perspective to the evolving landscape of digital stardom and its societal impact.
