Brutal Wembley Street Stabbing Leads to 16-Year Jail Sentence

Itesh Ira, 35, pleaded guilty to attempted murder and possession of a knife. The attack took place on a street in Wembley, where the victim sustained injuries to her face, neck, and body. Emergency services found her lying on the pavement in critical condition, with a knife broken in half from the force used.

CCTV footage revealed Ira stomping on the victim’s head while she was on the ground, highlighting the severity of the attack. Fortunately, a bystander intervened, potentially preventing even more devastating harm. Ira turned himself in at Wembley Police Station following the incident and was promptly arrested. The victim, who had a prior association with Ira, was hospitalized for several weeks to undergo treatment for her extensive injuries.

Detective Sergeant Mitesh Mulji described the attack as a premeditated and brutal act of violence, emphasizing the perpetrator’s intention to kill.
