Captured Suspect in Bucks County Triple Homicide Surrenders Peacefully in NJ

FALLS TWP., Pennsylvania – A suspect accused of the tragic killings of three family members in Bucks County met his capture after being cornered inside a home in New Jersey, as confirmed by authorities. Police shared that 26-year-old Andre Gordon was barricaded at a residence on Phillips Avenue in Trenton.

Gordon’s capture occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. at a separate location from the barricade, where he surrendered peacefully, as reported by Trenton police. Police Director Steve Wilson shared that Gordon managed to evade the perimeter established around the barricaded home before it was fully secured.

“He was at that house at one point, but before we were able to establish a perimeter, he slipped out,” Wilson explained. “The suspect was actually walking on New York Avenue. He was stopped and identified and taken into custody.”

Although Gordon was apprehended without any weapons, police officers are still conducting searches in the home and the vehicle Gordon carjacked to locate the weapon used in Saturday’s shooting, according to the mayor.

Further investigations revealed that Gordon was holding hostages inside the Trenton home. After evacuating all residents from the barricaded home and neighboring houses without any injuries, police confirmed that everyone was safely removed from the area just before 4:30 p.m.

Witnesses at the scene described the chaos and rescue efforts as law enforcement brought out around 10 to 12 individuals, including a toddler and an elderly woman, from homes along Phillips Avenue. Some were even taken out through upstairs windows and an elderly woman had to be carried out on an officer’s back.

Gordon initially carjacked a woman in Trenton early Saturday and went on to steal her car, later using it to travel to Bucks County, where the tragic incidents unfolded. In Levittown, Falls Township police officers responded to a reported shooting on Viewpoint Lane, where Gordon arrived in the stolen vehicle and fatally shot two people, including his stepmother and his 13-year-old sister.

The District Attorney identified the victims and highlighted that additional individuals managed to hide inside the home during the incident. Gordon was then linked to another shooting in Edgewood Lane that claimed the life of a 25-year-old and left four others injured, one of whom was attacked with an assault rifle.

As the community grapples with the aftermath of the shootings, residents in both Trenton and Bucks County are shaken by the events. The tragedy led to the cancellation of the Bucks County St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the temporary closure of Sesame Place and Oxford Valley Mall.

The motive behind Gordon’s alleged actions remains unclear, leaving officials and neighbors alike stunned by the unexpected violence. The impact of these heinous acts continues to reverberate through the communities affected, sparking conversations about safety and support for those impacted by the senseless loss of life.
