Child Murder Investigation Leads to Arrest of Philadelphia Pair

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Investigators uncovered a disturbing case of deception and tragedy in the city as they looked into the death of 4-year-old Damari Carter. Initially, the child’s mother, Dominque Bailey, told people that her child had died in an accident. However, suspicions arose when police received a tip that led them to believe that Bailey was not telling the truth about the circumstances surrounding her child’s death.

Subsequent investigation revealed that there was no record of any accident involving the child. On January 4, 2024, Bailey was brought in for questioning and eventually admitted that the child had died at a specific address in the city. The following day, law enforcement executed a search warrant at that location and made an arrest.

At the address, they found Kevin Spencer, a 40-year-old man, who was apprehended in connection with the child’s death. Despite this development, the child’s body has not been located, and the authorities have not confirmed when the child died.

Bailey has been charged with multiple offenses, including murder and endangering the welfare of a child, while Spencer faces charges of criminal conspiracy, murder, and tampering with evidence, among others. This tragic case highlights the complex and heartbreaking realities of child endangerment and criminal deception within our communities. The search for justice and closure continues as the investigation unfolds.
