Convicted: Man pleads guilty to violent attack on woman in Bracknell

Reading, England – Jamie Voska-Matsell, 21, a resident of Teesdale Road in Slough, made an appearance at Reading Magistrates Court on March 21 in connection with an incident on August 25, 2023.

The troubling event unfolded at a residence in Bracknell while Voska-Matsell and his victim were visiting a mutual friend. Witnesses reported that Voska-Matsell exhibited aggressive behavior towards the young woman before leaving the premises with her car, despite being prohibited from driving and lacking insurance.

Upon his return to the address, Voska-Matsell reportedly launched a violent attack on the victim inside the car, causing physical harm. The victim later revealed a history of controlling and coercive behavior in their prior relationship.

After subjecting the victim to further intimidation by damaging the car, Voska-Matsell was arrested and faced charges related to the incident. PC Rebecca Reynolds, the investigating officer from Bracknell police station, expressed satisfaction that Voska-Matsell pleaded guilty, sparing the victim from reliving the trauma in court.

Following his arrest, Voska-Matsell was found guilty of multiple offenses and accepted responsibility for all charges brought against him. Thames Valley Police commended the victim for her bravery in coming forward and emphasized their commitment to combatting violence against women in the community.
