Fort Worth, Texas – A tragic incident unfolded in northwest Fort Worth as a father and son lost their lives in a shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning. The authorities are currently in pursuit of the perpetrators responsible for this heinous crime.
Upon receiving a distress call, law enforcement officers rushed to the 3800 block of North Elm Street around 2 a.m. There, they discovered the two victims of the shooting inside their residence, as confirmed by a police press release. The victims have been identified as 24-year-old Jaime Francisdo Reyna and 46-year-old Jaime Ignacio Reyna by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Authorities have verified that the deceased individuals were indeed father and son and were residing in the house where the tragic incident took place. The elder of the two was pronounced dead at the site, while the younger succumbed to his injuries after being transported to John Peter Smith Hospital.
An investigation by homicide detectives revealed that a confrontation took place within the home between the victims and at least one unidentified suspect who opened fire, leading to the fatal outcome. The assailant or assailants fled the scene promptly following the shooting, leaving no immediate leads for the police to pursue.
