POLSON, Mont. — A 33-year-old woman faces charges of deliberate homicide following the shooting death of a man in Polson on Thursday morning. Ashley Whitmore was taken into custody after authorities responded to an emergency call regarding a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:35 a.m. at a residence located on 14th Avenue East. Upon arrival, officers discovered Adam Mowatt, 39, critically injured from a gunshot and quickly rendered medical aid. Despite these efforts, Mowatt was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
