Palm Bay, Florida – The state has taken a significant step in seeking justice for the tragic Palm Bay apartment shooting incident. Ta’Shawn Taylor, a 26-year-old individual, is facing the death penalty for allegedly killing three victims and injuring two others in a dreadful event that shook the Woodlake apartment complex.
On January 20, authorities in Palm Bay responded to a distressing 911 call reporting a shooting at the Woodlake apartment complex. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered three individuals deceased and two others wounded, including a 15-year-old minor. Prosecutors have described the murders as “cold, calculated, and premeditated,” lacking any form of moral or legal justification.
After being indicted on February 20 with three counts of first-degree premeditated murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder, Taylor became eligible for the death penalty. The victims who lost their lives in the tragic incident were identified as 79-year-old Stephen Suglam, 60-year-old Angela Suglam, and 31-year-old Lisa Suglam.
The case will undergo a review on May 3, with Taylor currently being held in the Brevard County Jail without the option of posting bail. This development comes after a 15-year-old boy was previously reported to be fighting for his life following the Palm Bay apartment complex shooting. In a separate ruling, bond was denied for Taylor, the alleged perpetrator responsible for the devastating events that unfolded in the apartment complex.
