Shooting Victim Identified in Riceville: Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Information

RICEVILLE, Iowa – The Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office has officially identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday night in a quiet neighborhood near Walnut Ave. Acea Spiegeler, 24, was found deceased when officers responded to the scene at 7:14 p.m.

Authorities believe that the incident was isolated, indicating that the individuals involved were acquainted with each other prior to the shooting. The circumstances surrounding the event have not been disclosed by the MCSO, as they continue to investigate the tragic incident.
