Sinister Attack: Man Found with Hands Nailed to Fence in Northern Ireland

Bushmills, Ireland – In a shocking incident in the early hours of Sunday, May 5th, a man in his 20s was discovered with his hands nailed to a fence in Dundarave Park. Police are calling it a “sinister attack” as emergency services responded to the scene.

The victim, in addition to the nails through his hands, also sustained injuries to his nose and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital. Thankfully, his condition is reported as not life-threatening. Furthermore, crews from the NI Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene as two vans were found ablaze in the public car park, one of which belonged to the injured man.

Authorities are investigating graffiti found on a nearby wall of public toilets, linking it to the assault and arson. Detective Inspector Lyttle condemned the attack, emphasizing the right of individuals to live free from violence in a democratic society.

“This was a brutal attack, leaving the victim with potentially life-changing injuries. Those responsible must be held accountable for violating the human rights of others,” stated Detective Inspector Lyttle. The incident occurred in a residential area with many holiday lets, potentially with witnesses during the bank holiday weekend. Authorities are urging anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

The community is shocked by the violence and intimidation displayed in this incident. The attack is seen as an attempt to control others through fear and aggression, disrupting the peace and safety of the neighborhood.
