Students Arrested for Brutal School Bus Driver Attack in Virgin Islands – Chief Urges Parental Involvement

Christiansted, U.S. Virgin Islands – In a disturbing incident that shocked the community, a school bus driver was violently attacked by three students, resulting in injuries to the driver and significant damage to the vehicle. The attack took place while the bus was dropping off students in the Strawberry Hill area on Wednesday afternoon, leading to the swift arrest of the students involved, including 18-year-old Caleave Nigel Mascall.

According to the V.I. Police Department, Mascall and two minors were responsible for assaulting the bus driver while he was performing his duties. The driver suffered visible injuries, and the bus sustained damages as a result of the assault. The minors were subsequently turned over to the Juvenile Investigation Bureau for further proceedings.

Mascall, being an adult in the eyes of the law, was unable to post bail and was remanded to the John Bell Adult Correctional Facility. He awaits a court hearing scheduled for a later date. Chief Sean Santos of the St. Croix Police addressed the incident, expressing disappointment and emphasizing the need for swift action against those responsible.
