The devastated woman, Melidy Adega, shared the harrowing details of the fatal altercation that took place at the NYCHA’s Jefferson Houses.
Alvarez was inside his apartment early Wednesday morning when his aunt’s ex-partner forcibly entered the residence, escalating the situation by brandishing a firearm. Amidst the chaos, Alvarez, who had just woken up, bravely stepped in to assess the commotion, only to be met with gunfire from the armed intruder.
Adega recounted the tragic moments, saying that the ex-boyfriend first targeted Alvarez before turning the gun towards her.
