Violent Attack and Robbery at Edmonton LRT Station Leaves 64-Year-Old Man Hospitalized

Edmonton, Alberta – A disturbing attack took place at an Edmonton LRT station last month where a 64-year-old man was violently assaulted and robbed. The incident occurred at Churchill Station around 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 24, as the victim was waiting for a train. According to the Edmonton Police Service, the victim was approached by another man with whom he briefly spoke before being viciously attacked and thrown to the ground. Shockingly, five more individuals joined in on the assault and proceeded to rob the victim.

The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment. Following investigations, EPS has issued warrants for the arrest of Travis Damian Houle, 35, charging him with aggravated assault, robbery, and failure to comply with probation orders in connection to the incident at Churchill Station. Police are actively seeking assistance from the public in locating Houle and identifying the other attackers involved in the heinous assault.

In efforts to gather more information and aid in the identification of the suspects, the Edmonton Police Service has released descriptions and photos of the individuals involved in the attack.
