MADRID, SPAIN – A British bodybuilder was taken into custody in Spain after being accused of a vicious and unprovoked attack on two American soldiers, leaving both victims severely injured. The 32-year-old man, described as a martial arts expert, was apprehended in Alicante after a 20-day manhunt. Authorities discovered him attempting to enter Alicante Airport on Sunday, leading to his arrest.
The British national, wanted on a European Arrest Warrant for the alleged attempted homicide outside a restaurant, now faces extradition and could potentially receive a 15-year prison sentence if found guilty. The assault on the US soldiers occurred on June 2, when the suspect reportedly launched a surprise attack on the victims, rendering them unconscious with his extraordinary physical prowess and alarming level of violence.
According to the Spanish National Police in Alicante, the bodybuilder continued to assault the soldiers while they were defenseless on the ground, risking their lives. Witnesses observed the perpetrator delivering brutal kicks and strikes to the victims, as his companions reportedly looked on. After the assault, the assailant fled the scene with his associates before law enforcement arrived.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and the current condition of the soldiers is unknown. In a separate incident, Spanish authorities are also engaged in a search for a stolen £1 million watch belonging to DJ Alec Monopoly. The luxurious timepiece, featuring intricate miniature sculptures and intricate details, disappeared from a villa in Ibiza during a robbery while Alec was performing on the island.
The theft of the valuable watch adds to the criminal incidents occurring in Spain, highlighting the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to address such crimes and apprehend the perpetrators. The case involving the British bodybuilder and the assault on the American soldiers underscores the importance of swift and effective law enforcement action to ensure justice is served and victims receive the necessary support and protection.
