COLUMBUS, Ohio — A tragic incident in central Florida has left two Ohio men among three victims of a fatal shooting. Local authorities have arrested a 29-year-old man on three counts of murder in connection with the case.
The deceased were identified as Douglas Joseph Kraft, 68, from Columbus, and another man, also 68 years old, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of his family. They were joined by Robert Luis Kraft, 70, of Holland, Michigan, who was also killed in the attack.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the Indian Point neighborhood near Kissimmee on Saturday afternoon after multiple reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered three adult males suffering from fatal gunshot wounds in front of a residence located on Indian Point Circle.
Ahmad Jihad Bojeh, the alleged shooter, was apprehended shortly after the incident, during which he attempted to flee toward his home. A search warrant executed at Bojeh’s residence yielded two firearms, and investigators are working to determine if these weapons were involved in the shooting.
Following his arrest, Bojeh was booked into the Osceola County jail, where he made his initial court appearance and was denied bond. While the investigation is ongoing, local law enforcement stated that there is no further threat to public safety as the suspect has been taken into custody.
Sheriff Christopher Blackmon from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reassured the community in a statement, emphasizing that authorities had acted swiftly to resolve the threat posed by the arrest. The sheriff’s office has also confirmed that the families of the victims have been informed.
While details leading up to the shooting have not been publicly disclosed, the community mourns the loss of the victims, whose lives were tragically cut short.
