Nashville, Tennessee – Law enforcement officials are on the hunt for a suspect involved in a deadly shooting at a coffee shop in Nashville. The incident, which took place on Easter Sunday at the Roasted coffee shop, resulted in the death of one individual and left four others injured. Police have identified 46-year-old Anton Rucker as the primary suspect in the case.
Authorities are working to determine the motive behind the shooting, as well as the events that led up to the altercation inside the coffee shop. Surveillance footage captured the gunman firing inside the shop, resulting in the death of 33-year-old Allen Beachem. It is believed that the suspect got into a dispute with another individual, escalating into a fatal shooting.
Mr. Rucker has a history of aggravated assault charges and had previously been arrested for felony drug charges. Last August, he was also arrested on aggravated assault and gun-related charges. Police suspect that the altercation leading to the shooting may have been a spontaneous escalation between individuals who did not know each other prior to the incident.
The coffee shop was hosting an Easter Sunday brunch when the shooting occurred, with witnesses recounting the chaos that ensued as patrons tried to flee the scene. Parents were seen rushing out with their children as the gunman opened fire inside the establishment. Following the shooting, the suspect reportedly fled in a Mercedes GLS 450.
A total of eight individuals were taken from the scene following the shooting. Police are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of Anton Rucker to come forward.
